Odds-on favourite Drivingthedragon N drew clear of her rivals in the $8,500 Fillies and Mares Preferred 3 Pace, winning by seven and three-quarter lengths in 1:55.2 at Flamboro Downs on Saturday, May 5.

Leading through a :28 opening quarter, Drivingthedragon N held an uncontested lead through the remainder of the mile as Dorabella parked first over three lengths from the lead. Drivingthedragon N proceeded to post a :57.4 half and a 1:26.3 third quarter before kicking to a six-and-one-half lengths lead into the stretch, extending that lead heading to the wire while Stellenbosch, circling stalled cover, took second. Pocket-sitter Dawn Shooter finished third.

A nine-year-old mare by Sutter Hanover out of the Mystical Shark mare Shark Alert, Drivingthedragon N, owned by Donald Mac Rae, won her third race in 14 starts this season and her 32nd in 105 overall, earning $183,337. Trained by Isabelle Darveau and driven by Robert Shepherd, she paid $2.40 to win.
