Four-year-old pacing mare Carol Alice earned her second straight victory in the top class at Northside Downs on Saturday afternoon, beating the boys over an off track for trainer/owner Doug Rankin.

After leading through the early stages of the $1,100 feature race, Carol Alice held off Schooner and even-money favourite Hoosier King in a three-way photo for the win. The time of the mile was 1:59.4 over the track listed as 'good' with a one second variant. Gerald Snow drove the chestnut daughter of Brandons Cowboy.

Now two-for-two this year, Carol Alice has 12 wins and eight seconds on her 33-race record with career earnings totalling $77,440.

Atlantic Breeders Crown and Maritime Breeders Stakes champion Dumas Walker finished two and a half lengths behind the top three while making his sophomore debut for horseman Myles Heffernan.
