While some of the top four-year-olds will be competing against each other on Saturday night at The Meadowlands, two of last year's sophomore stars will be engaged in 'Battle' with a group of older horses at Northfield Park.

Freaky Feet Pete and Wiggle It Jiggleit will be reacquainted with each other in the $200,000 Battle of Lake Erie. It will be the first time over the Flying Turns -- or any half-mile track -- for Freaky Feet Pete, who's three-for-three thus far in 2016 for trainer Larry Rheinheimer and owners Mary Jo & Marty Rheinheimer of Indiana. His most recent score was a five-length romp in 1:50 on Saturday night at Hoosier Park.

Wiggle It Jiggleit has about 110 seconds more racing experience over Northfield than his fellow Indiana-bred, but much more experience over a half-mile track. Over his seven starts this season alone, five have been two-turn trips and he's won three of them. His most recent starts, however, have both been losses -- the first time in his career he's suffered back-to-back defeats. His most recent came on Sunday in the 2016 Confederation Cup at Flamboro Downs, falling three-quarters of a length short to Rockin Ron.

While Sunday's loss was possibly affected by starting from the trailing Post 9, that won't be an issue on Saturday with all eight older pacers starting on the gate. Here's the field in post position order (with listed drivers) for Saturday's race.

1. Wiggle It Jiggleit (M. Teague)
2. Ideal Cowboy (A. Merriman)
3. Roland N Rock (R. Wrenn, Jr.)
4. Foiled Again (J. Bongiorno)
5. Freaky Feet Pete (Tr. Tetrick)
6. Santa Fe Beach Boy (R. Wrenn, Jr.)
7. Luck Be Withyou (D. Palone)
8. All Bets Off (M. Kakaley)

A great field indeed but never ever forget Foiled Again. He has danced this race many times and the moment you count him out he can surprise.

WIJI has the rail. Boys you had better take a seat no one is getting the front but him. WIJI in 151.1

The 4-year olds I think will steal the show in harness racing this year. There are many potential 1:48, and I am sure 1:47 horses and who knows maybe 1:46. Watch out for the likes of Always B Miki, Freaky Feet Pete, Wiggleit It Jiggleit and many more. Coming from the Maritimes I can't wait to watch them all on HPI. Giddyup!!!!

The first showdown between Freaky Feet Pete and Wiggle It Jiggle It. Should be an interesting battle for sure. Looking forward to it.

If this older division does not grab your attention, then there is no hope for our sport !!! "LET THE GAMES BEGIN"
