Driver Sylvain Filion positioned Fancourt in the pocket and won narrowly in the $27,000 feature pace on Saturday, May 12 at Woodbine Mohawk Park, holding off Piston Broke in the final strides to win by a neck in 1:50.

Physicallyinclined grabbed control in :26.2 while Fancourt ducked into the pocket. Piston Broke, sixth past the quarter, moved first over through a :54.1 half, soon flushing American Virgin first over and Classy Dragon second over. Physicallyinclined remained in front past three quarters in 1:22.2.

American Virgin drew alongside Physicallyinclined in the stretch, while Fancourt shot through a gap at the pylons. Fancourt emerged on top midway through the stretch with American Virgin at his throat and Piston Broke uncorking a third-over rally from the back. Despite broken equipment, Fancourt held off Piston Broke to win, while American Virgin was in contention, finishing third.

Owned by Millar Farms, Fancourt, a five-year-old gelding by Big Jim out of the Jennas Beach Boy mare Catch A Wish, won his fourth race in 11 starts this season and his 12th in 33 overall, earning $169,120. Trained by Nick Gallucci, he paid $13.20 to win.
