Taylor Takes Three At Hanover

Paul Taylor, Hanover Raceway’s 2008 leading trainer for wins and money, proved to be a major competitor during Saturday’s 11-race program

.

The resident of Clinton, Ont. teamed up with driver Trevor Henry to score three wins bringing his yearly win tally to 35 and lifting his earnings to nearly $250,000. Taylor, who is looking for his fourth straight million-dollar season, has recorded 1,310 wins to date with earnings of over $7.1 million.

Taylor and Henry got things started in the seventh race with Kesons Sergei, who wired the field to win in 1:56 by three and three-quarters of a length. Keystone Mystique was up next in Race 9 for Taylor and she paced her way to victory in 1:56.1 by four and three-quarter lengths. In the following dash, Condor made his first start for Taylor a winning one when he triumphed in wire-to-wire fashion in 1:59 by over three lengths.

Henry, who scored a grand slam, also picked up a win earlier on the card with Keith Hastie’s Nole (2:01.4).
