.

At the start of the 2,100 metre event Finders Keepers got an easy lead and the raced on the front while Triton Sund stalked on the outside, with Russel November in last.

The field raced this way until the last 700 metres when Offshore Dream made a three-wide move, followed by Igor Font.

At the head of the stretch Triton Sund took the lead from Finders Keepers and looked like a winner but with a fabulous finish Russel November closed to take the victory, with second going to Triton Sund - who raced most of the mile with flat tire - a followed by Igor Font and Offshore Dream in fourth.

The final time of 1:14.4 was far from the race record of L'Amiral Mauzun's 1:11.5 last year.

Russel November is son of now-deceased stallion General November (Valley Victory out of a full sister to Florida Pro) and Lacoste (by Joie de Vie).

After the race Russel November received an invite to the Elitlopp.
