Dreamfair Eternal Rolls In Open

Dreamfair Eternal notched her third straight win in the Friday feature at Mohawk Racetrack – the $44,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace

Marietta Hall (Mark MacDonald) was the fastest off the gate while Dreamfair Eternal got away last from Post 3 in the five-horse affair. The five-year-old daughter of Camluck made her winning move after the :27.4 opening quarter. Tony Kerwood angled the 1-5 favourite to the outside and she reached up for the lead at the half in :56.2. From there, Dreamfair Eternal secured a one and a half length lead by the third quarter station in 1:23.4 and then coasted to victory in 1:51.2.

Marietta Hall stayed for second and To Helen Back (Mike Saftic) finished third.

Pat Fletcher handles the training duties for John and Mary Lamers of Ingersoll, Ont. The winner of 17 races and $247,845 has compiled a record of 5-1-1 in seven starts so far this year.

In other action, Full Circle Faith kept her 2009 record spotless in the tenth race with a five and a half length romp. The four-year-old Albert Albert mare from British Columbia, is now six-for-six for the J J J Stables of Aldergrove. Jody Jamieson guided the Paul Megens pupil to victory in 1:54.1.
