VIP Internet Stable has acquired an ownership interest in the multiple stakes winner River Shark

. The deal with owners David Sabatelli, Aaron Waxman and Carmine Fusco was completed today (April 28), with financial terms not disclosed.

River Shark is a three-year-old gelding from the first crop of stallion Four Starzzz Shark, a career winner of over $2.7 million, out of the Life Sign broodmare Riverview Diamond. River Shark is fresh off an impressive sweep of the Robert J. Suslow series at The Meadowlands, including an open length win in the $67,000 final as the odds-on
favourite.

He will continue to race for trainer and co-owner David Sabatelli, who also conditioned Four Starzzz Shark during 2004 “Pacer of the Year” season.

River Shark is a career winner of $109,659 with a record of five wins from just 12 lifetime starts. His next stakes test will be this week’s eliminations of the $225,000 (est.) Berry’s Creek at The Meadowlands. He is also eligible to the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes, the Max Hempt, the Hoosier Cup, the Little Brown Jug and the Breeders Crown.

“We very much appreciate how easy co-owners Carmine Fusco and David Sabatelli have made this transaction,” said Ed O’Connor, Managing Partner of VIP Internet Stable.

“I was contacted late on Friday about this opportunity, and we were able to pull this all together before entry time Tuesday morning for the Berry’s Creek eliminations with the tremendous support of our Partners,” VIP Stable’s Tom Janes added. “We are very excited about adding River Shark to the stable! Over the past few years we have become more involved in racing stake’s quality horses, and a top three-year-old like this could bring our operation to a whole new level.”
