Typically a closer, Classicality exploded to the early lead and never allowed a challenger near him as he captured Monday’s $18,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.

Coming off a sickness scratch and a qualifier, Classicality moved so quickly to the front for Brian Zendt that he was ahead FIVE lengths at the quarter. He scored effortlessly in 1:55.1, 2-3/4 lengths better than the first-over Crosbys Clam Bake, with Big And Little third.

Lisa Dunn-Adams trains the homebred five-year-old Classic Photo-Penn Worthy Lane gelding, who extended his career bankroll to $220.362, for Dunn Stable.

Trainer Rich Gillock fashioned a triple on the 13-race card while Tony Hall and Eric Ledford each piloted a pair of winners.

The Meadows has tripled — to $15,000 — the total-pool guarantee for its Tuesday, April 28 Pick 4 wager as part of the United States Trotting Association's Strategic Wagering Initiative.

While $5,000 Pick 4 guarantees are regular features each Monday and Tuesday, The Meadows sweetened the pot when Monday’s Pick 4 was uncovered, resulting in a carryover of $6,243.00.

Minimum wager for the Pick 4 (Races 4-7) is 50 cents. Since Pennsylvania law requires a minimum per-race wager of $2, a player wagering at the 50-cent level must bet at least four tickets.

First post for Tuesday’s program is 12:55 p.m.
