Armbro Brando Retired

Trot Insider has learned that 44-time winner Armbro Brando has been retired to his ‘forever home’ in Maine.

Armbro Brando, a 13-year-old son of Island Fantasy, last raced in August.

After 299 career starts, the gelding retires with 44 wins, 52 second-place finishes and 42 thirds. His career mark stands at 1:50.3 (taken at Woodbine). He banked over $640,000 in purses throughout his career.

“He is now part of my family in Maine,” Sally Hinckley said of Armbro Brando, who is a full brother to the late-great Armbro Operative. “It is his forever home, he is much loved.”
