Daylon Magician was one of the many stars in action during Thursday morning’s qualifying session at Pocono Downs, and the former OSS star romped to a 15-length score in his assignment for trainer Mark Ford.

In rein to Mark MacDonald, Daylon Magician sat second to the quarter pole before marching to the lead. He carved out middle splits of :57.4 and 1:26.1 before rocketing home in :28.2 to win in 1:54.3.

The career winner in excess of $1.6 million last raced in the Preferred Handicap at Pocono Downs on March 22. The homebred has put together a 1-2-1 record from five trips to the track this season for Daylon Farms Ltd of Komoka, Ontario.

Trainers Chris Oakes and Ray Schnittker sent out a pair of qualifying winners apiece.

The Oakes-trained Special Terror stopped the teletimer in 1:54.2 in his qualifier, while stablemate Big Time Promise halted the clock in 1:52.4 in his prep.

Schnittker guided Stretch Cunningham to a 1:59 score and later got the job done with Sky Artist in 1:56.2.

The other qualifying winners during the Thursday morning session were Breath Of Life (1:57.3), Attainable (1:58.3), Southwind Cornell (1:59.3), Cajole Hanover (1:56.1), Legends Luck (1:54.1) and Intheblinkofaneye (1:54.4).
