High Five For Canada's Leading Driver

Driver Jody Jamieson went on a winning crusade Sunday evening at Flamboro Downs adding five victories to his 2013 national leading total.

Jamieson reeled off four consecutive wins beginning in the second race. He scored with the ultra-consistent Scottish Cross ($3.90) for trainer Sandra Houghton, Enigma Hanover ($6.70) for Fred Soyka, Outoftexas ($3.60) for Marty Adler, and Its Gonna Get Ugly ($9.40) for Richard Lareau. Jamieson later concluded his five-win performance guiding D M Bodatious ($2.60) to victory lane in the ninth dash for Natasha Stein.

Jamieson's mounts posted the smallest and largest margins on the 12-race card. Outoftexas opened up eight and a half lengths on his foes while Its Gonna Get Ugly prevailed by a head.

Jamieson now leads by five victories in the Canadian driver standings with 68. Billy Davis Jr., who earned one win on the card, sits second with 63.

In other action, driver Paul MacKenzie steered Tagmaster ($2.70) to his fifth consecutive victory in the 10th race optional $10,000 claiming trot for trainer Jen Rankin and owner Amber Rankin of Dundas, Ont. The nine-year-old gelding cruised wire-to-wire in 1:59 and notched his 45th career triumph.
