Indiana Hall converted a perfect pocket trip into an 11-1 upset victory in the featured $15,000 Preferred 2 Trot at Flamboro Downs on Wednesday afternoon

.

Driver Scott Zeron fired Indiana Hall to the lead from Post 6, but gave way to Hour Lavec (Billy Davis Jr.) during a :27.4 opening quarter. Hour Lavec then rolled the nine-horse field to the half in :58.1 while Logans Hero (Scott Coulter) advanced first over and applied pressure to the 1:28 three-quarters mark. The pacesetter managed to turn back that challenger, but the pylon-skimming Indiana Hall was unshakeable. Indiana Hall edged past Hour Lavec to win for the third time in nine starts during his nine-year-old campaign. The time of the mile was 1:58 and the winning margin was three-quarters of a length. Odds-on favourite Southwind Vavoom (Bob McClure) rallied wide from the backfield to show.

Indiana Hall notched his 47th career win and lifted his lifetime earnings to $735,352. Ian Downey trains the Striking Sahbra-Inverlochy gelding for the S S G Stables of North Boston, New York.

The winner paid $24.10 as the third longest shot on the board.
