Social media received a bit of a buzz on Monday (March 26), as fresh photos of a newborn Always B Miki foal from See You At Peelers surfaced online.
Two photos of the colt were posted at roughly noon with the caption, ‘At only 24 hrs old, this Always B Miki x See You At Peelers colt is already working on pacing.’
The image above shows the youngster getting to know his surroundings at Diamond Creek Farm in Pennsylvania, while the photo that appears below shows the colt alongside his dam.
See You At Peelers p,3,1:49.2f ($1,566,900), who won 26 of her 31 career races, gave the industry quite a jolt earlier this decade with a 22-race win streak that landed her in the pages of the Sports Illustrated and The New York Times.
The industry is less than two years removed from Always B Miki’s dynamite five-year-old campaign in which he consistently scorched the timers and rewrote the record books with a 1:46 win, the fastest clocking in the history of Standardbred racing. Always B Miki p,5,1:46 ($2,826,176) retired with 30 win from 53 starts and a trophy case full of hardware.
