There’s never any shortage of horse power out on the highway, that’s for sure. Although, when a horseman and a pair of horses decide to join commuters on a major freeway, people tend to take notice.
As an article on wtvy.com explains, police in Atlanta, Georgia recently had to escort a horseback Tod ‘Doc’ Mishler from a downtown connector at 3 p.m. He was aboard one horse and was leading another.
Police escorted Mishler off the highway an onto a less-travelled street.
The article states that Mishler, who reportedly has a doctorate in philosophy and has worked as a horse trainer, is in the midst of a cross-country trek and is trying to reach Indiana by June for his sister’s birthday. He is reportedly also trying to make his way to Washington, DC by June. It was also reported that Mishler is also on a mission to fight childhood hunger.
