"We can now turn the key and become operational," Jamie Hachey, president of Horse Racing New Brunswick Inc., has been quoted as saying in regard to the signing

of a five-year lease with the Exhibition Association of the City and County of Saint John.

With the lease issue put to rest, the next order of business is getting a new grandstand built at Exhibition Park Raceway.

According to an article published Saturday, March 28 by the Telegraph-Journal, HRNB will start to prepare to build a model next month, with a view to having it complete in the fall.

"If we can get all the stars to align, within four months of September we should be able to start construction," the article quotes Hachey as saying.
