Divisional Champs Set For 2012 Debut

A pair of 2011 divisional stars are expected to make their seasonal debuts during Thursday’s qualifiers at the Meadowlands Racetrack

. The nine-race qualifying session will feature award-winning pacers See You At Peelers and Foiled Again along with a host of other harness racing stars.

See You At Peelers, the Three-Year-Old Filly Pacer of the Year in the U.S. and runner-up in Canada, will take the stage in the fifth qualifier with Brian Sears listed to drive. The Jimmy Takter trainee completed an incredible 22-race win streak in her sophomore year which included wins in the Empire Breeders Classic, Art Rooney, Fan Hanover, Tarport Hap, and Valley Forge. Earning over $910,000 on the year, the Bettors Delight filly was the leading money-winning sophomore pacing filly in North America for owners John and Jim Fielding and Christina Takter. See You At Peelers, who suffered from a heart condition that appeared to impede her continuing dominance in the year end stakes events, last raced in the Breeders Crown elimination on Oct. 22 at Woodbine Racetrack finishing seventh. Among her qualifying field are PASS champion Foxy Lady and NJSS winner Myluvmylife.

Foiled Again will make his eight-year-old debut two qualifying races later with Yannick Gingras driving for trainer Ron Burke. The Dragon Again gelding racked up multiple awards for his stellar 2011 season including Older Male Pacer of the Year in both Canada and the U.S. along with the Pacer of the Year in the States. His major wins included the Graduate, Molson Pace, Battle of the Brandywine, Bobby Quillen Memorial, Indiana Pacing Derby and American National. He earned over $1.4 million to become the oldest pacer in history to have a million-dollar campaign for owners Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, and the JJK Stables LLC.

Arch Madness, the richest Canadian-sired trotter in harness history, is also set to qualify along with big money earners Atochia, Grain Of Truth and One More Laugh, and near millionaires Clear Vision, Neighsay Hanover and In Focus.
