Rose Run Hooligan trotted away from six foes in deep stretch en route to picking up a 1:54.1 tally in Monday’s $35,000 Preferred at Woodbine Racetrack

.

Simon Allard mapped out the winning trip for the eight-year-old son of Corleone-Centergy, who visited victory lane for the 37th time in his career.

Rose Run Hooligan shot to the early lead from post five and had the field chasing him to the quarter pole in :27.3. Aisling made a bold move to the lead in the backstretch, and that left Rose Run Hooligan with a pocket view past the mid-way point in a :57-second clip. Aisling continued on the lead, though clearly labouring, around the turn, all the way to the three-quarter pole in 1:25.2 before giving way to Rose Run Hooligan. Allard roused his charge to the outside and used a :28.3 closing panel to draw off to a three-length score in 1:54.1. Define The World rallied to finish second, with third prize going to Hes A Demon.

Rene Allard, Anne O’Keefe and Ferme Bureau Et Fils Senc share ownership on the veteran, who improved his 2011 record to 2-1-1 in six starts with the win.
