Although the calendar has yet to reach March, pacing mare One Last Bono has already surpassed her 2014 win total just two months into this racing season.

In 39 starts last year, the Pro Bono Best pacing mare won five races. On Thursday night, she won her sixth race of the year in seven starts -- this one a $7,500 Preferred 3 Filles & Mares Pace at Flamboro Downs.

Driver J.R. Plante sent One Last Bono right to the front from th six hole and carves out splits of :28.2, :58, and 1:27.1. Through these fractions, favoured Bestulldotanite (Scott Coulter) was pocket-sitting and Tail R Swift (Stephane Pouliot) was persistent could not be shaken off from first over. As the pacers hit the wire, One Last Bono held on by a neck in 1:57.2 over Bestulldotanite with Tail R Swift completing the triactor.

Isaac Waxman co-owns and trains One Last Bono (Pro Bono Best-Artful Mystique) for Brenda Selwyn Waxman and driver Plante. The win was her 15th in 65 lifetime starts.
