According to a report by the Examiner, 12-year-old Broadway Express gelding Broadway Kevin is headed to the fuzz.

Broadway Kevin, who after his years on the racetrack turned to a life of an Amish buggy standardbred, was on his way to auction after falling on hard times. The Starfish Stable swooped in and saved the gelding. Starfish member Kathy Ricci retrained Broadway Kevin to be a riding horse. He will soon enter the police horse academy in Newark, New Jersey.

The founder of Starfish Stable is non other than Ellen Harvey, director of Harness Racing Communications. "He is big, bold, clean-legged and sound, perfect for them," Harvey was quoted as saying.
