The winning streak is now three in a row and counting for trotter Il Sogno Dream, who was a front-stepping victor in Monday’s $34,000 Preferred Trot at Woodbine Racetrack.

In rein to Jonathan Drury, Il Sogno Dream pushed off the starting gate from Post 5 and muscled his way to the early lead. After parking past the quarter in :27.1 he crossed down to the pylons and sliced out middle splits of :56.3 and 1:25.2. He kicked home in :27.2 to win by 1-1/2 lengths over Big Rich in 1:52.4. Odds On Amethyst, who came first over, was third.

It was the seventh win of the season for the six-year-old son of Cantab Hall-Le Reve, who now boasts 26 lifetime wins for partners Bill & Dan Manes and Leonard & Randy Christopher. Victory Puddy trains the career winner of $1,119,134.
