Aaron Merriman wound up with 873 driving victories during 2015 to lead North American drivers for the first time.

He had four winners on Wednesday night at Northfield Park to conclude his 2015 campaign. Fittingly, he won the last race of the season he competed in, rallying out of the pocket to win with Duke Uh Brava in Northfield's 15th race.

Merriman’s total of 873 wins in 2015 gives him the fifth highest total ever among North American leaders, and seventh place overall among drivers’ victories in one season:

1,189 - Tim Tetrick (2007)
1,076 - Walter Case, Jr. (1998)
1,004 - Tony Morgan (2006)
961 - Tony Morgan (2008)
903 - Tim Tetrick (2008, finished second)
880 - Tony Morgan (2007, finished second)
873 - Aaron Merriman (2015)

Since the start of the 2010s, Aaron Merriman is third in driving wins with 3,822. Only Napolitano (3,995) and Dave Palone (3,830) boast more.
