Driver Corey MacPherson came out swinging on the Boxing Day program at the Charlottetown Driving Park, and by the time he took off his colours he’d racked up five wins on the 15-race card.
MacPherson captured the richest race on the card – the $2,350 Open Mares Pace – with Best Risque in 2:01, and he tacked on four more wins for good measure.
He clicked with Cloudy Bay (2:03.2) and Hurricane Hill (2:03.3) before sweeping the final two races on the card. He took the checkered flag in Race 14 with Idealic Life (1:58.1) before taking the finale with Spectacular Future (1:58.4).
The 2015 season has been a career year for the resident of Vernon Bridge, PEI . He’s put up career-best totals for wins (117) and earnings ($202,286) in a single season.
