Driver Paul MacKenzie showed very little mercy to his fellow reinsmen during Monday’s 15-race card at The Raceway at Western Fair District thanks to his five-win performance.
MacKenzie kicked off the card winning the opener with Twilight Dakota (2:01.2). He was back to victory lane just two races later with Blazing Shot (2:00.2), and then again with Certain Smiley (2:02) in Race 7. He came right back to take Race 8 with Adore Him (1:57.1), and he capped off his big night with Jake Loewen (1:58) in Race 13.
After spending a great deal of the 2014 season on the sidelines while recovering from a racing injury, MacKenzie, who joined the 8,000-win club earlier this year, has bounced back to win 229 races this season while potting close to $1.5 million in earnings.
