Nine-year-old pacer Mach It Paid celebrated his 50th career win on Friday night as he fought off a fellow Ontario-bred son of Mach Three in the evening's fifth race.

With Cody Henry catch-driving, favourite Mach It Paid carved out fractions of :28.1, :57.3 and 1:27.4 en route to the 1:58.4 triumph by a nose over Machness and Ryan Holliday in the $8,000 claiming class. Southwind Whiski and Bruce Richardson finished three lengths behind in third. The track was rated sloppy with a two second variant due to the wet weather conditions.

Mach It Paid has now earned back-to-back wins at Western Fair for trainer Isaac Waxman and owner Jade Stein of Millgrove, Ont. His 50th career victory pushed his bankroll to $391,907. Eight of those wins and $36,500 were earned this season by the gutsy gelding.
