It has been reported that the Indiana Horse Racing Commission has given the green light for an off-track wagering location to relocate and undergo a $2-million integration into part of a high-end taphouse.

The news comes courtesy of a report by The Journal Gazette, which states that the IHRC unanimously approved the proposal during a Tuesday, December 10 vote.

The Winner’s Circle Brewpub and OTB will be part of the Lincoln Plaza shopping centre in New Haven.

The report has quoted IHRC Executive Director Joe Gorajec as saying, “Things have changed significantly in pari-mutuel wagering, and most facilities have really done little or nothing. Today we have an exceptional application. I think this is a win for everybody – the horsemen, management and patrons.”

The article also states that the current OTB in Fort Wayne has been described as “an unprofitable, tired, worn facility in a poor location” that appears empty even when occasionally busy.
