It is all about Clic K in the Saturday afternoon feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino.

The lone program of racing this week at the capital oval will kick off at 12:30 p.m. with a slate of 14 races.

Clic K has been shouldered with post eight for driver Ron Matheson, trainer Jackie Matheson and owner PLO Stables of Donagh, P.E.I. The seven-year-old son of Shanghai Phil will face a field of seven rivals in the race 13, $2,400 feature including top rivals Forever Paradise (Marc Campbell) from post four and All Turain (Wade Sorrie) from post seven.

Race analyst Les MacIsaac will look for Clic K to see it through as the morning line favourite after being scratched out of his last scheduled race.

“With the talent this guy has, missing a start this late in the season isn’t a big deal,” MacIsaac said of Clic K. “Top billing.”

Other entries include Tempo Seelster (Vincent Poulton), First Art Down (Ken Murphy), The Big Bite (Kenny Arsenault), Machinthesand (Jason Hughes) and Cabo Pan Lucas (Danny MacDonald).

Race 11 will see a field of seven Open pacing mares compete for a $2,250 pot. Ramblinglily has been electric all season with 13 wins and five seconds from 19 starts in 2015, with the other start seeing her break equipment behind the gate. Walter Cheverie will drive the mare from post six for trainer and co-owner Allan Jones of Riverview, N.B. and co-owner Norman Leger of Shediac, N.B.

Willow Warrior returns to the races after being involved in an accident July 18 in the Governor’s Plate Open Mares Final. The Brendan Curran trainee has trained back over the Charlottetown oval, qualifying last week with regular driver Mark Bradley at the helm. The Western Terror four-year-old has drawn post two.

Other entries are Fleurje (Jack Panting), Best Risque (Hughes), General Luckypercy (Matheson) and For All We Know (Gary Chappell).

The $1,950 Open Trot lines up in race seven with Holy Molie Maggie (Chappell) given the early nod with rail control over a field that includes Osprey Impact (Paul Larabee) and Caliban Hanover (Cheverie).

Red Shores Summerside season comes to a close Sunday. The final card of racing of the 2015 season at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway is set for Sunday afternoon with a 12:30 p.m. start time for the 14-dash card.

The race 13 feature has Nogreatmischief labeled as the one to beat from post one with trainer/driver Walter Cheverie, who shares ownership with John Thompson of Charlottetown. The race carries a $2,200 purse with a six-horse field encompassing Outside The Wire (Brian MacPhee), Sendmeasign (Marc Campbell), Painted Desert (Mark Bradley), J Rs Hurricane (Ken Murphy) and Acton O So Royal (Gary Chappell).

Race Analyst Jared Stretch likes the chances of Nogreatmischief with rail control.

“He’s won a third of his races this season, which is really saying something when you consider the talent he’s up against every week,” Stretch said of Nogreatmischief. “Off the rail here is as good as it gets.”

Cheverie has more on the line than just the afternoon top class, as the veteran driver is currently the leading reinsman at the Prince County oval with 40 wins in 2015, with Jason Hughes in hot pursuit with 37 season victories. Marc Campbell and Gilles Barrieau sit in third-place with 34 wins apiece. Cheverie has nine drives on the afternoon program, compared to 12 mounts for Hughes.

The Isabelle and Ivan Cameron Memorial lines up in race six with Lucky Encounter the favourite from post seven for driver Cheverie, trainer Dale Sobey and owner Jeff Ferrish of Summerside.

PC Shockwave is the morning line choice in the race seven Garth Schurman Memorial for trainer/driver Wade Sorrie and owner Scott MacPhail of Charlottetown. The Peruvian Hanover six-year-old has post seven in the event honouring the late trainer/driver/owner.

Silverhill Blaze will look to help Hughes close that three-win gap on Cheverie as the morning line favourite in the race 11 Philip and Henry Doucette Memorial. Hughes trains and drives the Mach Three colt for owner Donald MacRae of Vernon Bridge, P.E.I. The $1,700 event also has top entries Bowyer Hanover (Cheverie) and Tyber Champ (Bradley).
