Driver Bob McClure made 2014 his first million-dollar season and officially went over the money milestone amidst a three-win night on Saturday at Flamboro Downs.

The 24-year-old reinsman from Orangeville, Ont. picked up cheques in his first six drives of the night, including a pair of wins with longshot Starlight Violet ($163.10) and Shiningstaratnight ($10.10), to surpass the $1 million mark this year in purse earnings.

Later on the card, he scored another victory aboard Intended Style ($6.30), a pacer he co-owns with Jody Howard, to push his seasonal win count to 188.

McClure, the son of horseman Lormer McClure, has won 488 races and has earned over $2.86 million in purses since he began driving in 2009.
