The youngest in the field at three, Delcrest Magicstar took it to her elders with a powerful uncovered move that carried her to victory in Tuesday’s (November 28) feature at The Meadows, a $13,000 conditioned trot for fillies and mares.

Delcrest Magicstar was third down the backside when she gobbled up the leader, Glidinthruparadise, for Aaron Merriman. Though she tired late — her :30.1 final quarter was her slowest — she had enough to defeat the rallying Fancytucky by three-quarters of a length in a career best 1:55. Dreamsteeler finished third.

Bill Bercury trains Delcrest Magicstar, a daughter of Majestic Son-Stars Balance who extended her lifetime bankroll to $128,594, for Renee Bercury.

Mike Wilder collected four wins on the 13-race card, including a pair for trainer Spencer Kahrig.
