Fresh off a B.C. stakes victory, Sing Like An Angel returned to Alberta and dominated the distaffers once again on Friday night at Northlands Park for her 17th win of the season.

Sing Like An Angel ($3.30) got away fourth from a post nine start in the $11,500 Fillies & Mares Open Pace and was on the move after first-half fractions of :27.4 and :56.3. She took the lead before reaching the next marker in 1:25.1 and drew off by more than five lengths with a :28.3 final frame. The 1:53.4 winning time was just one-fifth of a second off her season's mark that she took in her last start on Nov. 15 in a $50,000 stakes final at Fraser Downs. Early leader Blue Star Beauty finished second at long odds of 74-1 while Tajmeallover closed well for third.

The victory completed a training triple and a driving grand slam on the 11-race program for Travis Cullen, who shares ownership of the five-year-old Bettors Delight mare with his mother Jodie and partners Keith and Margaret Hannah of Waskada, M.B. Sing Like An Angel has earned $134,485 of her $227,639 bankroll this year and now boasts 40 career wins on her resume.
