After a five-day trial period, six casinos in New Jersey have been approved to offer online gaming to state residents. The green light from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement means that online casino gaming is now live in New Jersey.

An article by igamingbusiness.com has cited New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement Director David Rebuck as saying that more than 10,000 residents accessed the online casino gaming websites during the trial period.

Sportsbook operator Betfair is one of the entities that has been approved by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. Betfair has been approved for its online casino and poker service.

Earlier this month, Betfair’s Managing Director of Gaming Paul La Fontaine said that his company is "pleased to be one of the pioneers bringing online casino games to the state of New Jersey."
