Track Service Road To Get Face Lift

According to a report, the Alberta Downs service road in Lacombe will be getting a little love in 2013.

The Lacombe Globe has run an article explaining that county council passed an item at its November 22 meeting which calls for the 3,500-metre-long gravel road to be paved in the new year.

It is expected that the undertaking is going to cost roughly $1.5 million based on 2012 rates.

“It’s a long, curvy road, and I think that the people who live along the lake, and the business people there, would very much appreciate an improvement on that road," Councillor Cliff Soper was quoted as saying, adding that the road's current condition is very difficult on vehicles.
