Shooters Dream moved relentlessly first over to wear down the leader, Visible Gold, and capture Friday’s $18,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.

A newcomer who had been racing at Hoosier Park, Shooters Dream was sitting last when Tony Hall sent him on his uncovered journey. He pulled even with Visible Gold into the final turn and defeated him by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:51.4. Dew N Doughnuts rallied for show.

Randy Bendis trains Shooters Dream, a four-year-old Sand Shooter-With A Dream gelding who now has banked $113,915, and owns with Tom Pollack and David Linker.

Mike Wilder piloted four winners on the 15-race card while Dave Palone and Hall each fashioned a triple.
