#2 Trot.

Green Day, the winner of the 2007 Yonkers Trot, erupted for a 13-1 shocker one week over the Innisfil oval against easier company, and he was even more impressive in Tuesday’s follow-up effort against tougher foes.

Now You See Him shot to immediate command and was shadowed by Green Day to the quarter pole in :27.3 before that pocket-sitting rival leapfrogged to the top. Once on the lead, Green Day tore through middle panels of :57.3 and 1:26.2 before using a :30.3 final frame to win by three-quarters of a length over 1-2 favourite Southwind Vavoom in 1:57. Watkins rallied from third-over to grab the bronze medal in the seven-horse affair.

Mary Raymer of Hastings, ON owns and trains the seven-year-old son of Enjoy Lavec-Sonoma Hanover, who won for the 30th time in his career. The veteran, who owns a 4-3-1 record from 21 starts in 2011, has banked $1,122,881 to date.
