Winrac Standing Pat With Building, Land

Winrac Development President Pat Soulliere has been quoted as saying that the company currently has no plans to sell Windsor Raceway or the land it sits on.

Soulliere’s comments have come via an article by the CBC. In regard to the future of the raceway, Soulliere stated that he is hoping that something positive happens. The Ontario Government pulled slot-machine gaming from the track in 2012 and the raceway has since been shuttered.

In speaking of the Ontario horse racing industry, Soulliere was quoted as saying, "I think there's a lot of work to do, I think there's a lot of unanswered questions still."

Later in the article, Soulliere was quoted as saying, "As far as the land and the buildings and so forth, we're just going to keep them. We're going to keep still. We have no plans at this point, other than keeping the infrastructure here, and you never know what could happen in the future."
