The trip was sweet and the end result was even sweeter for Bugatti in Monday’s $8,500 Preferred 3 for horse and gelding pacers at The Raceway at Western Fair District.

Bugatti was treated to a pocket trip behind Tero, who carved out panels of :27.4, :57.3 and 1:26.3. Bob McClure launched Bugatti to the outside in the lane and the gelding kicked home in :29.1 to win by 1-1/2 lengths over Tero in 1:56. Twin B Cowboy rounded out the Trifecta ticket.

Sent off as the 1-2 favourite, the Richard Moreau trainee improved his 2017 record to 6-7-3 from 30 trips to the track with the win. The four-year-old son of Mach Three-Blinker Hanover, who is owned by 9099 3833 Quebec Inc, GAAR Racing Stables and Jeff Boyd, is closing in on $100,000 in career earnings.
