The Nova Scotia-bred pacing mare Pictonian Sareta ($16.40) earned her first Flamboro Downs victory and fastest yet on Wednesday night as she dominated the field in the featured $10,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred 2.

Kicking off a driving hat-trick for J Harris, Pictonian Sareta held a commanding lead through fractions of :28, :57.2 and 1:25.4 before extending her margin to five lengths in a 1:54.4 career-best winning mile. Shadows Wonder followed in second off a pocket trip while Drivingthedragon N rallied off cover for third-place.

The four-year-old Western Paradise mare is owned by trainer Jack Harris and William Dowhan. She has now compiled a 2015 record reading 4-9-2 in 27 starts while adding $36,797 to her bankroll.

Carmen Auciello's Miss Machqueen ($8.10) also went wire-to-wire in her first Flamboro victory in the $7,500 Fillies & Mares Preferred 3. The five-year-old daughter of Mach Three won by more than three lengths in 1:55.4 with Travis Henry aboard. Double Joy journeyed first over and then dropped in behind the winner as she chased her to the wire. Haute Couture finished third.
