The Minnesota Racing Commission has announced that it has received 2015 live race day requests from the Running Aces Harness Park and Canterbury Park Holding Corporation.
The MRC has stated that Running Aces Harness Park has requesting 53 days of Standardbred harness racing from June 6 to September 12. Each day’s program will include between eight and 11 races. First-race post times will be 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Canterbury Park has requesting 70 days of live Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing from May 15 to September 12. Each day’s program will include between eight and 15 races. First-race post time will be 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays; 12:45 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays; 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays in August and 4 p.m. on July 3.
The commission has announced that it is holding a public hearing on the requests on Thursday (November 20) at 3:45 p.m. at the University of Minnesota Leatherdale Equine Center, 1801 Dudley Avenue, St. Paul, MN.
The commission has stated that it will consider the requests at its November meeting, which begins at 4 p.m. on November 20 at the University of Minnesota Leatherdale Equine Center, 1801 Dudley Avenue, St. Paul, MN.
