Bolt The Duer To Stand Stud

Winbak Farm of New York is proud to announce the addition of Bolt The Duer to its already strong New York lineup.

Bolt The Duer, p, 2, 1:51; 3, 1:47.4f ($1,829,995), is a stand-out World Champion from a world-class family. His siblings include Shanghai Lil, p, 2, 1:51.2 ($1,068,402) and Blue Claw, p, 1:49.4 ($576,635).

At two, he was the Kentucky Sire Stakes divisional Champion. He won two legs of the Kentucky Sire Stakes, the Kentucky Sire Stakes final and a Bluegrass Stakes division.

At three, Bolt The Duer won the Adios Final (becoming fastest horse on five-eighths mile with 1:47.4 World Record), Cleveland Classic division, John Simpson Memorial division, two Kentucky Sire Stakes legs & Final (won Final in 1:48.2), Max Hempt Stake elimination and the Messenger Stakes Final.

He was also second in his Adios Stakes elimination, the Art Rooney Stakes Final, Little Brown Jug elimination and Max Hempt Stake Final.

At 4, Bolt The Duer matched his sophomore world record, becoming the first horse to record two sub-1:48 wins on a five-eighths mile surface. He equaled a second world record with a 1:49 mile in the Gerrity Memorial at Saratoga, becoming the fastest horse on a half-mile and five-eighths mile track.

Victories at four include the Ben Franklin Pace consolation (setting Pocono Downs track record 1:47.4), a Canadian Pacing Derby elimination, the Dan Patch Invitational and Joe Gerrity Jr. Memorial. He was second in an Allerage Farms Stake division, US Pacing Championship elimination and Final and William Haughton Memorial Final.

During his three and four-year-old seasons, he earned more than $1.5 million.
