Preferred Win For Rock N Roll Legacy

It was straight to the front and four left turns for Rock N Roll Legacy and Bruce Richardson, capturing Monday night's Preferred 3 Pace at The Raceway at Western Fair.

As the wings of the gate folded, Richardson pointed the sophomore pacer for early command and got there ahead of Western Captive (Nick Steward). Rock N Roll Legacy carved out an opening panel of :28.1 before Richardson backed it off and stole a soft quarter to hit the half in :59.1.

From there, the tempo began to quicken. Robert Shephred applied first-over pressure with Intrigued Intended and got within a neck of the leader at the 1:28.1 third panel. More pressure was coming three-wide from Kendal Gustav (Lorne House) around the final turn but Rock N Roll Legacy was able to hold on by a quarter length in 1:57.1

Randy Marriage trains Rock N Roll Legacy (Rocknroll Hanover - Shanias Legacy), a colt he co-owns with Richard McGlynn of Bayfield, Ont. The win was the third of the season, and the third of his career.
