Ellis Park continued his win streak on Saturday night while making his debut in the Preferred class at Woodbine Racetrack.

Driver Chris Christoforou sent the four-year-old Rocknroll Hanover gelding three-wide at the third quarter mark and rallied home from the backfield to catch the pacesetting Camaes Fellow in the $34,000 feature. Ellis Park sprinted a final quarter in :27.1 over the 'good' surface to prevail by half a length in 1:50.1. Favourite Camaes Fellow (Sylvain Filion) settled for the runner-up honours after fighting off first over Sparky Mark (Doug McNair) through fractions of :26.1, :53.3 and 1:21.4. State Treasurer (Jack Moiseyev) rounded out the top three finishers over two lengths behind.

Ellis Park earned his fifth straight win for trainer Brad Maxwell and the David Goodrow Stable of Cambridge, Ont. He's won half of his 20 career starts for a total bankroll of $127,460.

The 4-1 second choice paid $10.60 to win.
