Charlottetown Feature To Eagle Jolt

Eagle Jolt upended pacesetter Doing Some Damage to capture the Thursday top class at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Marc Campbell, who notched a driving double on the , rallied Eagle Jolt in deep stretch for the 1:55.3 score. Sent off at 6-1, Eagle Jolt, owned by Wilbur and Marie MacDonald, Orwell Cove, PE, has eight wins this season. Doing Some Damage faded to second with Perfect Escape (Ron Matheson) third.

Osprey Impact, Charlottetown’s current track record holder for trotters, delivered the in the Open in 1:58.2 for Corey MacPherson. Freddie (Marc Campbell) was second with Thunderaway (Jason Hughes) third.

The other trotting assignments were won by Caliban Hanover for his 55th lifetime victory for owner Wendell MacDonald, Cornwall and Suicide Shift for Steven Shepherd.

MacPherson and Ken Murphy also recorded driving doubles.
