So Not Cool Dominates At Flamboro

Awesome Acres Standardbreds’ So Not Cool ($3.40) turned in a dominant pillar-to-post performance in the featured $9,000 upper-level trot on Wednesday evening (October 18) at Flamboro Downs.

Bob McClure gunned the six-year-old Muscles Yankee gelding forward from the outset, and the pair bypassed the pocket on the first turn to overtake Zorgwijk Queen (Scott Young) just before completing the first quarter in :29.3. After pulling the tempo back a touch through a 1:00 half mile, So Not Cool easily dismissed a mild first-over challenge from Pollar Hall (Bruce Richardson) before edging away on the far turn.

So Not Cool drew clear while in hand to a four-length win, stopping the clock in 1:58.1 for his fourth career win, and his second in four starts this year for trainer Duane Marfisi. Carmens Fluke (Travis Henry) reached second up the open stretch from Zorgwijk Queen, who tired after chasing the widening victor on the far turn.
