Scott Knight wasted no time hustling Rock Allstar to the top in Friday’s $10,500 Open Pace at Fraser Downs, and the gelding went on to wire up the eight foes he faced in the featured tilt.

Departing from Post 3, Rock Allstar muscled his way to the motor and carved out fractions of :27.3, :57 and 1:25 before scooting home in a :29-second clip en route to the 1:54 score by 1-1/2 lengths over Beren Hanover. Taking home third prize was Cantbeacheetah.

The seven-year-old son of Rocknroll Hanover-Timeisonyourside, who was sent off as the 3-2 favourite, is trained by Richard Lancaster for the partnership of Westridge Stable of Langley and Wild Dunes Stables of Delta, BC. The pacer now boasts 31 lifetime wins and career earnings of close to $160,000.
