Eagle Jolt made a big move down the backstretch for driver Marc Campbell, and together they tracked down the pacesetters and put away the field to win the Thursday feature at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Campbell got away sixth with Eagle Jolt while Cambest Kisser shot to the front and scooted through fractions of :28.2, :58.3 and 1:28.2. Eagle Jolt grabbed third-over cover going to the half, and he made a bold move in the backstretch to improve to third at the three-quarter pole. Eagle Jolt then used a :29.2 closing quarter to win by three-quarters of a length over Van Zant in 1:58. Cambest Kisser faded to finish third.

Wilbur MacDonald and Marie MacDonald of Orwell Cove, PE share ownership on the eight-year-old son of Village Jolt-Jazzy Jam, who hangs his harness bag in the barn of Marc Campbell.

Campbell announced prior to the card that he was donating all his driving commissions to friend and fellow driver Corey MacPherson, who has been sidelined after undergoing some medical treatment.

Campbell drove Lyndale Royal to victory and the ownership group of Neal Moase and Brent Campbell also pledged their prize money to MacPherson. The leading driver at Charlottetown also paraded Fly With Max to victory lane. The fundraiser efforts were just over $1,000. A special presentation will be made Saturday.

Mark Bradley had a driving triple on the program. Bradley scored with G Js Winning Fool, Lisfinny and Starlight Violet.

Frill Seeker, with Kenny Arsenault in the bike, captured the trot class going gate to wire in 2:03.1 for Ebbsfleet Stables of Stratford, ON. Arsenault also guided longshot Woodmere No Fool to a winning effort before closing out the card with a victory in the finale behind Cheyenne Ford.

Racing returns Saturday at Charlottetown at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. in Summerside.
