Gural Gets Key 'Okay' For Big M

Jeff Gural has received an important green light from the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority in regard to his vision for the new Meadowlands Racetrack

According to an article on northjersey.com, on Thursday, October 13 the NJSEA approved Gural's proposed 125,000-square-foot grandstand, which will be a quarter of the size of the existing grandstand and will be located where the track's backstretch currently is. Gural is planning to have to grandstand up and running by 2013.

In addition to Gural's proposal, the NJSEA also gave the 'okay' for Triple Five, the new developer in the works to bring the former Xanadu complex to fruition, to amend its master plan for the multi-million-dollar stalled complex. The company was given the green light to adjust the plans for the complex, which has been rebranded as 'American Dream,' to include an indoor water park and indoor amusement park to be built on an adjacent 22-acre site.
