Three-year-old pacing filly Amazing Step earned her seventh consecutive front end victory on Friday night at Rideau Carleton Raceway while horseman Per Henriksen went four-for-four on the program.

Driver Denis St. Pierre guided Amazing Step to a 1:58 victory in the $6,700 sixth race for fillies and mares that are non-winners of $15,000 or one race lifetime. She held off D Gs Perfectbeach and Sylvain Lacaille by half a length while Tell Me Why and Claude Larose came in third almost two lengths behind.

The Armbro Deuce-Financiere Stena filly is trained by Dominic Gladu and owned by breeder Gilbert Sauve of St. Jacques, Que. and Ecuries De Senneville Inc. of Senneville, Que.

After winning one of her six freshman starts, she is now seven-for-eight during her sophomore year with $25,607 banked in purses.

Per Henriksen put together a streak of his own winning all four races in which he competed in, including three with his own trainees Frilly Thong, Fiery Manes, and Nowucit Nowudont.
