Ready Cash won the Thursday night feature in 1:56.3 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park
. The Alan MacDonald-owned pacer, driven by Walter Cheverie, notched his 40th lifetime win with the victory.
Cheverie positioned Ready Cash in the pocket behind pacesetting Oakrock Almighty, who cruised through fractions of :28.3, :57.4 and 1:27.4 before fading to finish fourth. Last Art on Deck, who came first up past the quarter, finished second and General Lucky Percy closed hard to grab third.
Jason Hughes recorded a driving triple on the program, as did Mark Bradley.
Racing returns Saturday featuring the Erwin Andrew Memorial Final for Open Mares and the Maritime Breeders Eliminations. Post time is 6 p.m.
