Governor Ted Strickland has named his seven-person Ohio Gaming Control Board. Each member will receive $60,000 for their part-time jobs of introducing rules and regulations and overseeing track racinos and casinos.

All face confirmation by the state senate and the results of next month’s gubernatorial election.

The seven individuals are listed below.

• (Chairman) Charles Saxbe (a Columbus attorney and member of a distinguished legal family which includes a former U.S. Attorney General)
• William Kirkham (an attorney)
• Michael Bolte (former Cincinnati police captain)
• Greta Russell (Ohio State University controller)
• Vanessa Whiting (an attorney)
• Jerry Chabler (former racing commissioner)
• Joseph Rugola (executive director of Ohio’s Assn. of Public School Employees)
