The Horseplayers Association of North America wasted no time today in its praise of the Ontario Racing Commission for its blunt stance on the issue of stalemates between

horsemen's groups and racetracks and how they negatively affect the industry's customers: the bettors.

An item on the HANA website states, "it is no secret that racing has not done well responding to both business problems and customer problems, but there is a sign this is changing."

In referring to a situation in the United States where signals are being withheld from horseplayers, the item goes on to say, "wouldn't it be nice if there was a commission like Ontario's that stepped in to tell the parties to get things done? If the parties do not care about customers, maybe they should be forced to."
